| Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, | |
| We
are happy to unveil a new bulletin format for our parishioners this
weekend. We hope you like our new look! Our new bulletin is being produced
by Liturgical Publications of Wisconsin, Inc., of Milwaukee. We are
hoping that our new format will be more readable and allow us additional
space to include information formerly presented on flyers inserted
in the bulletin. The parish bulletin is our lifeline of information
to you, our parishioners. Bulletin notices must be submitted in writing
to the Parish Office by 11:30a.m. on Tuesday. Please be patient with our parish staff as we make the transition to our new format. A representative of Liturgical Publications flew in from Milwaukee to assist us in publishing this week's issue. You will be noticing a number of additional format changes in the weeks ahead. Our parish bulletin does not cost the parish, but is paid for by the advertising on the back of the bulletin. Please patronize those businesses who support us in this endeavor! After months of planning, the weekend of the St. Joseph Parish Bazaar has arrived! This is the biggest annual fundraiser in the parish. We hope that you will enjoy all the events, knowing that every contribution you make goes to keep our parish afloat! Please come and join us! This Saturday evening, immediately following the 4:00p.m. and 5:30p.m. Masses, we will be offering our Barbeque Beef Sack Suppers, including chips, a pickle, a cookie, and a soft drink all for a $5.00 donation. On Sunday from 11:30a.m. until 3:30p.m., we will be offering our tried and true Roast Beef Dinner with all the trimmings in Kinzler Hall. Dinner includes home-made desserts. Take-out dinners are available in the Cook Room. Dinner tickets are $4.00 for children ages 3-11, and $7.00 for those 12 and up. Don't forget to turn in your raffle tickets for a chance at winning a crocheted tablecloth; $50, $100, $200, or $300 in cash. Take a chance on the beautiful quilt made by our St. Joseph Quilting Ladies, or on the famous Duck Drop Game. Remember, your odds of winning some cash are a lot better than the state lottery, and if you "lose" your parish is still the "winner!" Be sure and stop by the Xavier School Gymnasium and view the creative Youth Art Display. Prizes will be awarded our budding artists at 2:00p.m. on Sunday. Don't miss all the crafts, religious goods, specialty baskets, sweet tooth items, and the musical entertainment as you enter Kinzler Hall. Most of all, come spend some time with the most congenial parishioners on the face of the earth and have a good time! Next Sunday, we salute all our new parishioners as we mark "Welcome Sunday" at all our Masses at Immaculate Conception and St. Joseph! God bless you always! |
