Eucharistic Adoration

We hold Eucharistic Adoration each Wednesday after the 8:30 Mass at Immaculate Conception Church through at 9:00 PM.  You can sign up for a permanent time when it comes open, or be available when a replacement is needed due to a member taking a vacation, having an appointment, being sick.  You do not need to be on the schedule to participate - "drop-ins" are welcome!  For more information, contact the parish office.

Saint Joseph Lay Carmelite Community

Are you interested in seeking God’s Presence while living an active life in the midst of a busy world? We are an association mainly of lay persons, married and single, women and men; we make our lives a prayer, we seek God’s Presence in every area of our lives.  Our members choose to live out their baptismal commission according to the spirit of the Carmelite Order by committing ourselves “to live in the following of Jesus Christ” according to the charism, traditions and spirit of Carmel under the authority of the Prior General of the Carmelite Order; we are brothers and sisters of the Carmelite Family and sharers in the same call to holiness and in the same mission of the Carmelite order.

Being a Lay Carmelite is not just a devotion added to life; it is a way of life, a vocation.  By entering the order, we are called to contribute to the transformation of the secular world by sharing the Carmelite charism of prayer, community, and service to others, recognizing God’s presence in all circumstances, rooted in a love for those with whom we live and work in solidarity with God’s people everywhere.

If you are interested in exploring a relationship with the St. Joseph Lay Carmelites please join our community for any of our monthly meetings, usually held the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.  For more information please leave your contact information with the parish office or email the St. Joseph Lay Carmelite Community at lvtoc@yahoo.com.

Parish Rosary

We We have a rosary group which gathers to pray the rosary every Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM. If there is a particular intention you would like them to include in their prayers, please email Virginia Hood at virginiahood@sbcglobal.net with that intention, and we will include it in our prayer offerings for that week.

Of course, if you’d like to join us on any Tuesday evening, we open the church (St. Joseph’s) a little before 6:00 PM, and we’re finished by about 6:30 PM. Come and pray with us for your intention to our Blessed Mother any Tuesday.

Prayers for Prodigals

The Prayers for Prodigals is a prayer group that is “Praying Our Loved Ones Back to the Church” through the intercessions of St. Monica as well as praying for an increase in vocations and for our Priests.  Two groups were formed, one for daytime attendees at Immaculate Conception Church every Wednesday, at 3:15 PM and the other for evening attendees at St. Joseph Church in the Cook Room on Thursday evenings, at 6:25 PM.  We welcome you to join us!
